Can you walk to the top floor of the Eiffel tower?

Is it possible to go up the eiffel tower walking up stairs or do you have to go in a lift? I'm taking a school trip there and have an awful phobia of lifts.

Yes , you can take stairs but you can't go on every floor with the stairs ( you can go on the first and the second but not on the third and last floor ) . The lifts aren't free . I hope I helped

I know there are stairs that you can take to the first two floors, but to get to the very top, Im almost positive it's a lift from what i remember. And it cost more money.

Yes you can. I hope you are fit, because there are 328 steps to the first level, 340 steps to the second level. The lifts carry literally thousands of people every day. They are checked every day. I know it's scary, but once you are at the top the view is magnificent.

Have taken the lifts every time I have been ( about 6/8 times) and I hate heights!

yes but not from the second to the last floor. If you are afraid to take the lift, just don't, the view on the second floor is really nice too.

Good grief. Why would you not go to the top? That's like going to France, but only 200 feet inside the border and asking if you should go further or would 200 feet be fine.

You can walk up the first two stages of the tower. For the third (top) stage you must take a lift.

Try wikipedia for very complete information.

Yes. You can take either stairs or a lift. Don't be afraid though. Those lifts support a thousand people every day.
