WMR update from the Irs?

Question

Good morning so like many I checked WMR and was upset that my refund had been pushed out by 2 weeks. I just called the IRS and spoke to 2 different agents. I was told that my date has been changed because of the hundred of thousands of refunds ln backlog she advised that it's just processing and they are pushing most dates out a week or two so people can relax. She also said they are not holding returns waiting on W2's from employers but they are swamped with early e-filers so we all just have to wait. Also she said WMR updates daily at midnight but only if there is a change to you refund status. I'm like most I need my money NOW but there is nothing I can do but wait. Building this helps

I also got a change date from 1/31 to 1/30. It did update because it has said 1/31 since I was accepted. I filed on 1/13/12. Accepted on the 17th.

Mine still says 1/31... still processing. If they are truly using a new system that can deposit whenever.... I would expect the money on that date. If it is the old system, good chance for Friday 27. For those saying 1/30, there is a good chance your funds might be available Friday or Saturday (depending on your bank's policies and also the "transfer" bank). Calling to speak to an agent is useless.

Mines is very weird. When I check with WMR, it is still giving me the 31st. But when I check with HR Block onlines customer service 800 number, they give me the 30th. And I've talked with 4 different people. So I wonder is HR block gets updates before we do

I had my return prepared early, it was filed and accepted on the 17th and for a week I had a status of "by" the 31st- this morning I got an update to a deposit on the 30th.

yeah the update for me was they found me lol, i e-filed on 1/17 & have been trying to check it ever since but the WMR site kept saying my info did not match their records or something to that effect. well finally this am i checked & it gave me a DD date of 2/7. so hopefully i see it before then. :)

my status changed overnight to actually giving me a direct deposit date of Jan. 30th and not just you should receive your return by jan. 31st. i was also accepted by the irs on jan. 17th, so be patient and check WMR daily it will change status just right before they make the deposit although they also only update WMR once daily overnight

Youre right there's nothing you can do. It's the government. Consider how good they do with the mail and count your blessing.
