2001 Kia Optima LATCH system?

I just bought a 2001 KIA Optima and it didn't come with an owners manual. I'm trying to install my sons car seat ( I posted a question about that before ). The car is LATCH equipped but my question is can I used the LATCH hooks with the middle seat? I've been reading and from what I have read the middle seems to be the safest place. I've also read however that the middle seat isn't meant to use the LATCH. But there are three hooks above the head rest making it seem like you can use the LATCH with all three seats. I'm sorry that this is so ling but I need some help. And if you can't provide the answer does anyone know where I can purchase an owners manual?
