What is the difference between "smart" and "clever"?
Context:
"As a consequence, finding all the solutions to superstring theory is a task which is far beyond our mathematical ability. At present, we are not clever or smart enough to completely catalog all its solutions, which are called conformal field theories."
Michio Kaku, Beyond Einstein
Writing "clever or smart enough" would be redundant if the meaning were identical, right?
So I guess, the author ascribes different meanings.

great question madhavi:) you recognize however those words sound synonimous yet nevertheless there lies a "deep" distinction !! Happiness could be chanced on of issues which would possibly no longer additionally be advantageous to our religious or psychological factor like we could circulate out & have our sought after dish & clothing etc., we would sense satisfied. yet delight comes from a sort of achievent, if we get reliable grades in study we would get a favorable feeling that asserts "difficult word paid off" now thats greater advantageous isn't it ;p[ Now peace.... i think of it relies upon on what approach we undertake towads the "events" we do for "happiness" or the two "delight", peace surely exist in our self, it in simple terms must be chanced on by way of us. someone of lack of information could sense peace on an identical time as a difficult worker could desire to be strresed. that is even oposite to that . So peace needs to chanced on by way of us.
