Will i get arrested for Carrying a Stainless steel sword in NYC?
Hello I live in NYC, and i am Dressing up as a character for Comic-Con 2012... Which the Character has a Sword, i just recently ordered a Sword Online a 440 Stainless steel Sword with a Sheath i believe cause it did show in the picture. I don't think i can cancel the order now... but the sword is absolutely the main thing for this Costume. So if i were to walk through the streets and go into the subways will i be stopped and arrested by a cop? i hear that a 440 Stainless steel sword cant cut crap

It is a fixed blade, dirk, dagger or sword, it is a deadly weapon. Ask a police officer in that state, city and borough, take their advice and be safe.
Had a sword pulled on me once, it did not end up well for that other person. So be careful, use some sense and know the law because ignorance is no excuse.
