wonderful source of nutrition for pet birds

You can serve eggs to your bird in a variety of ways, but it's important to keep healthy preperation in mind. The healthiest way to cook eggs for your budgie is to hard-boil them and then cut them up (along with the shells) into bite-sized pieces. You can also scramble the eggs and broken shells in a very light amount of pure vegetable oil -- but make sure to hold the salt and any other "human" seasonings!

Always make sure that the eggs you serve your bird have cooled to room temperature, to avoid burning your pet. Remove any uneaten egg food from your bird's cage after two hours, to prohibit the growth of nasty bacteria.

Grinded egg shell is also good for them as I heard they will strenghthen your birds's eggs. (maybe that will only be useful if u owned hens.....)

We have two budgies that we bred ourselves and we have found that the easiest way to encourage them is to make it fun in their sense of the world. For example, we hang a small head of broccoli upside down in the cage and they enjoy climbing all over it and then try to eat the seed head whilst hanging over the edge of a stem. We also put the crunchy middle part of lettuce leaves in the cage on the sort of grippers you use for millet stalks. They like getting to it and eating it and, at the same time, it contains a lot of water. Remember that budgies don't find it easy to eat soft foods so try to give them the crispier veg and fruits or the ones with seeds in for them to dig out. As far as the bath is concerned, don't worry. Our two only use the bath for drinking from but they preen themselves many times during the day so they are always clean. If you are worried about things like mites in the foods attacking them, one thing we have found that putting eucalyptus branches in the cage keeps the mites away, the birds love eating the leaves and the room always smells of eucalyptus, saving us a fortune in fresheners. One other thing, our two like eating my ginger plants. They can strip the stem of all its leaves in a day if they come out.

Haha that's so sick. That's like feeding an unfertilized female human egg to your friend, it's wrong...

I have never heard of feeding eggs to a bird.. But if they can eat them, I know dogs can, eat the shell as well as e egg, boiled, cooked, scrambled, poached. However you want I guess
