Budgies and yarn???????????????????

I know this is weird question. lol. I made a homemade perch/swing/toy for my budgie. Well its something I saw on youtube. Its made with a hanger. I attached toys and etc. The kid on youtube put sand tubes on the plastic parts were his budgies mostly sit. I didn't have sand tubes so I used yarn. Was that okay? I wrapped it tightly and tied it really good. Was using yarn a bad idea? It seems harmless? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question coming form a top contributor. =/ oh, and sorry about all the question marks. My question needed 20 more characters. haha =)

Yarn can be dangerous if it comes unravelled, but if its tied tightly and there is nothing the birds could get caught in then it should be absolutely fine. Just keep an eye out for any loose threads :)

Your budgies should be fine. people have been giving birds yarn as nesting materials for ages so I'm pretty sure your bird will be ok.
