How long does it take for the judge to sign paperwork after the father is served with child support papers?
I am in the state of California and I'd like to know how long after my ex is served will the judge take to sign the judgement?

I am in CA too and have had to deal with CA State Chil dSUpport services. I am not sure that is how it works. You open a case through Child Support services and they serve dad with paperwork to fill out requesting his financials. failure to supply the requested information will eventually get hi served with a summons to appear and a judge will order him to supply the info or authorize the State to go into his bank and SS# records to acquire it. Once his financials are supplied they take your financials, Dads financials along with % time the child is with each and input into DISSOMASTER, a software program and it spits out a figure one parent may owe the other. THEN...the judge signs the order to have it paid. And parents have a choice of paying themselves or opting to have the state collect/garnish wages and distribute to you via auto bank deposit, a child support debit card or check.
Last time I went through the process it was 6 weeks from start to finish (when I was told I would get an auto-deposit in my account 4 days after the parent got his next paycheck) but I am not sure where in that timeframe the judge got the order to sign.

It only takes me seconds to do my signature. Probably the same with him...
