Does Ramadan happen more than once a year?
I hear about the holy month of Ramadan, but it seems as if it happens more than once a year. Does Ramadan rotate? How/when does Ramadan come about?

Ramadan rotates according to lunar calender every year but it does not happen twice a year. Though people do fast for a few days more, or now and then.

Ramadan is only once a year. It goes backward. What I am saying is that, last year we did in July, and this year we started in June. Etc.
Source(s): A friendly reminder. We could have Eid on July 28th or July 29th. How can you determine this, well you need to follow your local Mosque. Islamic events depends on the sighting of the moon. If we fast for 29 days, according to my calculation Eid will be on July 28th, and if we fast for 30 days, Eid will be on July 29th. Another word, please follow your local Mosque. We still have to fast for Ramadan, make it most of it. Pay your zakat and fitra before Eid prayer Keep me in your dua. Thanks. - Anonymous7 years ago

Ramadan occurs occurs once in a year according to the Islamic calendar.
It's not an event, ramadan itself is a month.
