We never feed "dry-only" but mix with water. Usually, I will mix some water into the food and just a tiny bit of canned food. This might be just a teaspoon for a small dog such as this.

Dry food doesn't go down well and can easily get stuck in the throat. Think about what dogs would normally eat. They would bring down an animal and eat that - raw. This means the food is very wet.

Additionally, who would want to eat the same thing, DAY IN AND DAY OUT - and especially if it is like little stones! In the least, mix water into the food. But, if you care, then add just a bit of canned food and you will probably find your dog is fine with the food.

BUT, be sure you are not over-feeding the dog. I feed less than the packages suggest, because most dogs become overweight if fed recommended amounts. Dogs will then, just not be very hungry, if they are getting too much food.

If it a different kind of dog food. This is what you can try to get your dog to eat put just a little bit of chicken or beef broth on top of the food.

Hard to say. Maybe she's spoiled, maybe she/he has bad teeth. Perhaps you should have your vet check her/him.

Put the dry food down for her & don't give her anything else to eat. When she gets hungry, she will eat. Don't give her anything except for the dry food. No table scraps, no canned dog food, no treats until she starts eating the dry food. Give her a treat AFTER she has started eating the dry.

They might be picky. Try putting water or chicken broth over the dry food to get them used to it and then slowly add less and less water.
