No. Proteins are the building blocks of life and proteins are made of chains of amino acids. All life on earth use DNA to encode their genes and genes make proteins. Some viruses use RNA as the coding material but viruses are not considered living organisms, just bits and pieces that came out of living organisms and are now parasites.
