Am I overthinking the covid-19 spread?

Is it just me, or does it seem like the countries that has been hit worst (first?) from covid-19, is roughly about the same latitude? For example USA, Spain, Italy, Iran, China.

South Korea and Japan seem to be big exceptions though...

There appears to be any number of factors  attributed to the spread.....mostly people from China, or who were in Wuhan,  traveling to other countries ....and infecting those countries first........makes sense that all the countries you mentioned would be "first"  as they are some of the most heavily traveled tourist countries.  (well, except maybe Iran.....but Iran takes part or has workers on many construction projects worldwide.....so that could account for their  rapid rise. )
