I have been suffering from strange sounds lately,

And I may have recurring swelling in my left ear due to untreated swimmers ear causing a middle ear infections.

I have been unable to get it diagnosed confirmed by doctors due to the poor medical and dental care offered here in the united states of america.

my situation is no different than any others so the radom sounds could be caused by untreated problems in people reporting it as fact.

AND I have had my ears eyes and throat looked so many times during this period its not funny. the reward and fee based system here is simply not working for people. 

So you might say their industrialised based libertarion system of medicine is a complete failure and the almighty spirit our creator is looking at them from on high saying greed is not the answer to your problems.

Yes, I have had that on numerous occasions but I put it down to what they call Exploding Head Syndrome.

Yes, these are classified as "Near Death Experiences", a premonition of an abduction that is not in line with events.  These unseen dark spirits arrange for the fear meter to be significant to cause a level of shock that will trans-place you from one reality to another.  It has been said that the practice is obsolete, however trans-placement has occurred.  It is like a virus that you catch.  It is contagious, so you don't want to discuss it with anyone that hasn't develop an immune response.  

I have found that in times of heavy concentration or when I am just dropping off to sleep or waking, my hearing is far sharper. Maybe a primitive thing to prevent an attack by hungry animals. At that time, just a slight mucus whistle from the nose can sound like a loud scream. Audible pareidolia can make it sound like a name being shouted loudly, when all it was, was a mucus whistle that could not have been heard by another person in the same room. 

Next time you are in deep thought say over your next move in an electronic chess game, see if that happens to you. the sound of a spoon falling into a stainless steel sink and rattling about for a second could become a whole crate of glassware crashing to the floor because of your deep concentration and audible pareidolia. If you went into the kitchen, you may not notice the spoon in the sink and even if you did, you may not give it a second thought as you were looking for a crate of broken glass. Worth a thought Tom. Yes but nothing spectacular. Just the sound of a mundane item falling. Investigate and not find anything so brush it off as not anything important.

What we are hearing is an audible event heard out of sync with our reality. Sound lost in time.

Quite a lot of "ghosts" are audible events. 

I've heard boots run down 3 flights of stairs, across the floor, slam the front door and the gate outside  - all while the front door is still locked with the keys on the inside of it.

Yes, who hasn't? In my case, it's usually a tree branch falling on the roof. Nothing even remotely paranormal about it. There is always a natural explanation don't go off the farm just because you can't figure it out.
