At a time of massive wealth and income inequality, Trump’s budget pays for his huge tax break
to the top one percent by cutting $1.5 trillion from Medicaid, $845 billion from Medicare and
$25 billion from Social Security. Make no mistake about it: Trump’s budget is a massive transfer
of wealth from working class families to the wealthiest people and most profitable corporations
in America
@ Jeffrey, Congress past his budget, but the pilfering of funds came later, and another dip came later than the first one. Trump took 11 Billion out of military projects, and 3.8 Billion from the Pentagon to subsidies the border wall. Called it some kind of (ridiculous) emergency. All Trump's lapdogs had the majority, and let him do it.

@Anon, that raise won't buy a newspaper! The rich pays 22%, and after expenses, most pay nothing! The wealthiest got a wind fall, They are sitting on billions. Erroneous information from cons is pathetic.

Trump has said very clearly on multiple that he would not cut any money from Social Security or Medicare. Regardless, the spending cut would done by Congress, not the President.

...aren't those the "safety nets" into which workers and those seniors have paid for decades so that they'll be there for them when they need them most while watching "progressive" politicians raid them to buy the votes of people who don't pay into them?
but hey... CA Gov. Newsom wants to give full health coverage to millions of illegal aliens.....and GOP politicians that oppose this are being accused of wanting to "rob millions of their health care"....
...so why expect anyone to have an actual educated conversation here.... right?

Did you know that the wealthy and welfare classes grew under Obama/Biden, and the middle class actually shrunk. That administration imposed the largest tax increase on the middle class in history.

You can't transfer wealth TO the wealthiest people...the wealthiest people are the ones paying the vast majority of the tax. What you're saying is Trump isn't penalizing the wealthiest as much as you'd like him to
