he has a history of falls ..resulting in a brain injury ...my version ..his brain injury is the result of falls ..he has a history of them

He has some history of falling, resulting in brain injury.
He has a history of falls, resulting in brain injury.
If it is only one fall, it is unlikely to constitute a history.
