Now let's be very practical about this, and start by ignoring all the fine sounding theories about living in a moneyless society, how it is the source of envy, its influence on greed, wars, International conflict, etc, etc, etc.
Money is the means, (possession of), by which we all, whether we like it or not, make our living and purchase our food by which we exist . Without it, poverty and starvation looms on our horizons. Therefore possession of a certain amount is necessary for our survival, and happiness. Denial of this fact probably indicates that your living in a dream world, just a wee bit impractical, and in great danger of becoming a bit vacant.
Happily, it is not contageous.

Money cannot buy happiness, neither does the lack of it. Money cannot buy health, or loving relationships. Money is not necessary to be happy. Some of the happiest people I've been in contact with were African natives who had no material wealth.
