Did they surround Congress with 20,000 troops to guard it after GOP Rep. Steve Scalise was shot and nearly killed?

 20,000 troops? .. the US only sent a few thousand to Afghanistan.. Afghanistan!!.. It is odd

No because it was a single person who mounted that attack, there were thousands of them attacking the whole US  government.

That was a lone shooter at a ballgame.   It was a bad thing, but a different thing than invading the capital, searching for officials to kidnap, murdering an officer, attempting to murder two others and oh yeah..... disrupting the peaceful transfer of power.  

But, there was an appropriate law enforcement reaction to the shooting.
