In the Disney Heroes: Battle Mode community, why do players think the devs should focus more on movies than TV shows?
In Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, PerBlue the game’s publisher, has a license deal with Disney that gives them access to all their IPs including their TV shows but there are some players who only want movie heroes like Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Anna from Frozen. I’m the kind of player who is happy with whoever they do add and I don’t whine because they didn’t add my favorite character. I might be disappointed, sure, but I know I have to be patient. Like, I know I want more Disney Afternoon characters but then there are others who don’t want those characters included.
PerBlue has said in their Q & A, that the characters have to be approved by Disney and they will not answer questions about who is coming.
Unlike in Disney Sorcerer’s Arena, where they let players pick who they want to come to the game. That is not the case with Battle Mode. Players don’t get to pick and choose who they want in the game. PerBlue picks who they want to be added. The characters that have been added over the last 2.5 years, those were the characters that were approved. So I am going to watch Disney Wiki and the Battle Mode wiki, for new characters. This year so far the characters are Honey Lemon, Wasabi, The Rocketeer, Dr. Drakken, and Fozzie Bear. I have also learned I need to be careful when speculating too much about the badges I see in the game and about checking the Wiki’s in Facebook groups. A lot of them don’t trust outside sources and have people involved in datamining.
