Can I use a monitor for both work and leisure?

So like most people now, I'm working from home indefinitely. Right now, I'm working from a work laptop my company gave to me.

I'm also planning on finally moving into my own apartment very soon. I would like to have my own desk setup where I can work, and then later, possibly play games or surf the web from the same monitor. My plan is to attach an HDMI cable from my work laptop into the monitor so I can see things much more clearly. And then once the work day is over, I can detach the HDMI cable and use the monitor as I please.

Would this bring up any security issues?

Update:

I should also note - I also have a personal laptop. But the screen is small. I also don't have a monitor at the moment - I plan on buying one once I move out.

uh, why would "most people" be working at home? you do realize that the mandatory mask wearing has been lifted now in most states, right?

i mean, my workplace closed for like 2 straight months last year, but we've been back to work for 9 months now...

but to answer your question: you own a car, right? and back when you DID drive to work every day, you didn't have a separate car for leisure activities, right?

or maybe a pen. the pen you use at work could be used at home, could it not?

honestly, a monitor stores no data, so i don't see how it could have anything to do with security. although you will eventually wear out that port by constantly plugging/unplugging it...

Using a monitor like this is in no way a security issue.
