Obviously, the job description would not say that. But if you read between the lines, will your conclusion be " this job position just ties up loose ends for other people".

Every job description I have ever written ends in "and other duties as assigned".

But a job description that says over and over "assists in finalizing task a", "assists in finalizing task b" etc = would be pretty clear you are tying up loose ends.
