Is anybody else sick of...?

People trying to turn the illegal immigration issue into a race issue? Also, I live in southern California, and any time I bring up illegal immigration, it is automaticaly assumed that I am refering to those that cross the border between Mexico and the southwest states....why is that? In my opinion, an illegal immigrant is any person, from any country, who comes to and stays in the United States illegally, and as such, should not be allowed to stay. Your thoughts on one or both issues?

Update:

*gills*

I would be very interested to read that KKK information, can you provide me with a link to it?

*supaypahuahua*

I would agree that hispanic people make up a larger percentage then other ethnicities, at least in the area where I live, and I think that people will talk more about those in their surroundings, but I also think "Russian mafia illegals in NYC or the Canadians without papers in Washington state" are just as much as a problem as anybody else.

I would imagine that statistics show majority of those entering this country are mexicans from mexico. I agree that they shouldn't all be categorized but it's hard to refute evidence showing that majority are mexicans.

Yes ,I am sick of political party's and people in general playing the illegal immigration race card also. enough about illegals not obeying the immigration laws set by our Government. I can't understand the logic behind anyone who doesn't know the difference between what legal and illegal means in the English dictionary ? I know, maybe all the people that enter our country illegally can't read English period. just kidding, ''NOT''! I to live in Southern Calif. and when the subject of illegal immigration comes up with friends or co-workers, I get that same responce and I find myself having to explain that I'm not talking about Mexico alone. it's the hole World. Anyone from anywhere that wants to become a legal resident of The United States of America must go through our legal system the right way.

look people they always blame somebody for something

they can't have a normal sex life ? "is because the mexican"

they can't have a job ? " is because the mexican"

they can't have a good neighborhood? " is because the mexican"

    etc etc etc etc

you know smart people they know if they want cut a tree in your back yard and make sure is not going to grow up again they have to kill the roots..

If people stop ******* around between

leaves and branchs of the illegal immigration tree problems

and they begin to look where are the roots of the problems maybe they can found the way to fix it.

but we all know is more easy to kick the illegal immigrants

butts instead begin to fire those are not doing the job they supposte to do..

and when the mexicans stop to come in US

somebody else from another country it would be the next

illegal immigrants and we start all over again with discrimination, racism and lack of capacity to enforce our laws

    first was the Indians

    then the Irish

    then the Italians

    then the Russians

    then the Romanians

    then the Germans

    then the Portuguese

etc etc etc etc etc etc

our immigration system it works like this

try to empty the Colorado River with a drinking glass

    and good luck with that.!!!

Yes i am, its about being here illegally not race. There are forces in this country who want much more illegals. Isnt it strange that the border between n & s korea has only been crossed a handfull of times since the 1950s.

I do agree on both. In defense of those who assume your talking about Mexicans though, They do make up 50% of all illegal immigrants and Hispanics make up about 75 % and it's even higher in L.A.. I do discuss about other illegal immigrants, and I get a hostile response from that as well.

I think it's true that it's turning into a race issue... The mexican people seem to be the only ones that this country focus on... They don't seem to care about immigrants from Europe, or Asia, or South America... Or maybe I'm just seeing this differently than others...

With 12-30 million Illegal MEXICANS, I do believe Mexican should apply when discussing Illegals. Sure, there's other ethnic 3rd world illegals from other countries which can be represented, but they aren't waving the Mexican Flag.

Only Illegals who don't get their way, will turn PATRIOTISM into Racism. For people with an English Language deficiency, those two words must look alike.

No excuse will work. Welcome to the New Breed of Immigrant:

They want to BE in America, NOT BE AMERICANS!

So who's the real racist here??

You are right, it is not about race. Mexican is not a race anyway, it is a nationality.

It is mostly the pro-illegal alien people who are Mexicans and/or hispanics who keep trying to make it about race, because they do not want to admit that illegal aliens have committed crimes by coming here illegally or overstaying a visa.

Smart people know the truth, that it is about the sovereignty of the United States, and the right of this nation to protect our borders and establish immigration laws and quotas to protect our natural resources and natural environment, and our citizens and economy.

The ones who try to make it about race are not educated.

Yes you are right. But you can not blame them. Most big businesses and seems like most politicians would rather not have them labeled as illegal. Such programs as the "guess worker program" I feel encourages illegals to become and stay illegal.Big business wants a cheap labor force and politicians want to make big business happy. So guess who is everyone's darling? Illegals!

Umm I think this is just an issue in California. I'm pretty sure in Jersey when immigrants are brought up, the first thing we think about are Arab taxi drivers and the gas station people and they're not Mexicans.
