My car window is making noise.

2001 Toyota Camry power window is making noise when it moves up/down and is a little slower than the others.

Time to replace the window regulator, its about to break.

  • well considering it is a toyota i doubt the window regulator is going out. that is unless you use the window moving up and down frequently. then it is possible. toyotas are very good on quality. so the regulator should be fine unless you use it A LOT.

my idea would be that the tracks are out of adjustment. when this is the case you will here a sound from inside the door panel where sometimes the source can sometimes move vertically. also it will slow down the window. it will sometimes seem like it is struggling to get up.

if this is wat your experiencing i would look at that. otherwise it could be the regulator (aka motor) but regulators have more of a tendancy just to break suddenly. you wont really notice anything until the window random falls in the door under most circumstances....

(tracks are also a much cheaper fix)

could be that there is an accumulation of dirt and stuff that is down inside the panels. also it could be the motor. in some cars the windows are not all powered by the same motor.

nicely confident and NO. project is the Window Tracks Are Bent, WD-40 will help till it drys. Tracks must be bumped off & Straightened + New Felt Liners in the Tracks. "solid physique save"

The lubricant has "left the building". If you hardly use it, leave it up and don't use it.
