Why do Webkinz need a refrigerator?

I see that there are recipes for cooking, but why do you need a refrigerator? Is it just for looks? I see it can hold up to 8 items, but why would you need to do that if you can keep them at the bottom...

thanks

It's good to store the food up. Having too many items in your dock will clog up the memory and make the computer run slower. Plus, if you have hundreds of food items (which I do)You don't have to scroll for minutes at a time to look for an item

With my Webkinz each has a fridge to keep their special food just for them in it and special foods that you can't make or buy (like the ice cream cone you got if you logged in on Christmas Day. By putting things in the fridge, you have more space in your dock for other things.

a refridgerator is a great thing to have in webkinz world. it can complete the room theme that you wanted and just incase you run out of money and can't buy food to help feed your webkinz you always have the food in the frigde to feed them.

they have one so there is a place to store the food and that gives you more dock space and so you Aren't forced to delete/ sell the food
