Can somebody who is or was in the U.S. Army please help?

Can you please send me a private message so that I can ask you a few important informational questions please? (when you send email please mention your rank, years of service, nature of your unit)

I am 27 yrs old. I just graduated with my MS in Electrical Engineering (fall 2009). I have close to 2 yrs of work experience as an engineer with a 'high-tech' electronics firm in R&D.

I am going to enlist in the Army. ( This is a definite decision. Please don't even attempt to try and pursue me against this)

I have some private questions I can only ask a real soldier who is active or retired (in the last 10yrs). These questions are VERY important to me, and I need your help. Please send me a private message (email).

Thank you in advance.

I don't feel comfortable PM'ing but I would gladly answers some of your questions. I'm an officer in the Army also and I have a bachelors in Electrical Engineering. I can say you made the right choice, especially with a degree in that particular engineering field. Despite what people think about the AF/NAVY being better for technical/engineering degrees the ARMY actually has the best opportunities and equipment. I can't say exactly what I do but I can say that it is very fulfilling and that I can guarantee that no one else in the world is doing it. The ARMY is the biggest branch of the military so we get the most DoD funding, and get to play with all the cool ****. Also, promotions come faster once you make it past Cpt. as opposed to the other branches because everything after Cpt, is performance based not TIG/TIS. I am a Lt. Colonel after 9 years. Not bad huh?
