My iPad has stopped clicking when I type?

It has also stopped making some of the in app sounds such as loading sounds, ive checked the sound settings and they seem fine. Anyone else had this problem and if so how did they fix it? Thanks.

The screen lock button is now a mute button. You do not have the device on mute do you?

One possible answer to this is you have simply over loaded you IPad. If this problem just started recently give your IPad some time. I recommend simply syncing your IPad to Itunes on your PC/Mac then let it sit over night. Then simply shut it off for an hour or two and turn it back on. If this doesn't work then there may be a major malfunction and I recommend contacting Apple Support for help. I'd imagine your warranty is still active.

You might have flicked the old orientation lock switch (the one beside the volume control) which now controls most of the iPad sound.

Try turning it off and back on again. (Hold the sleep/wake button until a slider comes up that says "slide to power off"). Then hold the sleep/wake button again until the Apple logo appears.

If all and all fails, goto back to Apple and pester the guys in the Genius bar.
