Now that the millions of barrels of oil spilt in the Gulf of Mexico from BP disaster has entered the Atlantic.?

great environmental upheaval will result from this process not to mention the high concentration of methane stored under the sea bed which will end up in the atmosphere thereby creating calamitous natural disasters.

So why aren't we doing anything about it not in the least, at least pressure the governments to do something about this?

Easy, the young environmentalists of today don't understand that oil has been leaking from the ocean floor for hundreds of thousands of years. My Father in Law remembers when in the 1970's prior to oceanic drilling tar balls rolling up on Florida beaches enough that they would have heavy solvents to wash your legs from the tar balls.

I could go on, but the average environmentalist today doesn't have a clue about how the Earth works.

A few million barrels, compared to 1,400,000,000,000,000,000 metric tons of water. Find the oil, in all that...

The Atlantic only covers 22% of the Earth's surface. What would you have them do? Burn more hydrocarbons in pursuit of those that got away?

The oil is nothing compared to the plastics that are floating in the world's seas.

The Pacific has become the worlds largest rubbish dump

And now the Atlantic seems to have it's own garbage patch, just like the Pacific.

What are governments doing about that?

What are you doing about it?

Does it make you think twice before using a plastic carrier bag?

What would you have them do?

The best thing we can do is to prevent another oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
