Using Drano in sink after clog... safe to drink the tap water?

So, my mom clogged the kitchen sink somehow. None of the water would drain. She bought a small plunger and got it to drain and added Drano. After 15 minutes as it says, she tested it and it all worked fine.

Is it safe to use the tap water from the same sink the drano was poured down? I sometimes use it to give water to my dogs when there is no bottled water available.

Update:

okay, my big concern was that drano was safe and wouldn't get into the water coming out of the tap somehow after going down the drain. I panic over things like that for some odd reason.

clean out the sink, don't let the dogs drink out of the sink and don't drink from the drain

These days all cold water taps are fed from the mains and have been for many years, though there may be some antique systems which still use a loft tank. To be sure, turn off your stop tap in the kitchen and try the bathroom tap. If it doesn't run, it's mains water the same as the kitchen tap and perfectly drinkable

As long as you or the dogs don't drink the water from the drain, it is safe.
