SOS! Computer problems?
My computer is running very slow- Slow to open new website pages. Hangs every few minutes. I get pop-up blockers on almost everything I open. Some have certificate problems. I have read somewhere that you click the red bar- certificate & click install certificate but I don't have that option.
I have tried installing AVG virus scan - It took 1.5hrs to scan 52% of the computer. I thought that was way too slow so I cancellled the virus scan. The e-mail sometimes cannot be opened either.
What to do? SOS! Even I as I type this short message, it still hangs. Yes, I know the computer is "really sick". Please give me advice on what to do.
Thanks.

DO NOT GO TO "msconfig", you gonna screw up your machine with that!!
-clear your browser (cookies,private data)
-install ccleaner(when it's done, open it, click on "analyze" then click on "run cleaner"
-Disable your screen saver
-close all apps you're using
-go to RUN
-type dfrg.msc
-click on Analyze
-when it's done then click on Defragment
Disk Defragmenter is a utility in Microsoft Windows designed to increase access speed by rearranging files stored on a disk to occupy contiguous storage locations, a technique called defragmentation. Defragmenting a disk minimizes head travel, which reduces the time it takes to read files from and write files to the disk. Beginning with Windows XP, Disk Defragmenter also reduces system startup times

Here is a basic way:
1. Open Start.
2. Type "run" and open Run.
3. Type "msconfig".
4. Go to the Startup section.
5. Disable everything.
Second basic way:
1. Open Start.
2. Type "run" and open Run.
3. Type "msconfig".
4. Go the Services.
5. Click on the "Hide all Microsoft services".
6. Disable all of them.
Restart your computer.
If none of these do not work, you MUST download an Anti-Virus program and scan your PC for errors. You might have downloaded something malicious.
