1 week agoIf I make a purchase right before my statement due date on my credit card does it affect my credit score?
My due date is the 15 of every month which I plan to play off my balances before the DUE date. I’m confused about how the statement due date works though. So if I make a purchase right before my statement date, would this affect my credit score in a bad way?

2 Answers1 week agoIs it tacky to propose to a girlfriend with a platinum visa credit card instead of a ring?
That you got approved using your girlfriend’s credit and SSN info because her credit score is 850 and yours is 563?
But it says platinum on it and it’s like $15,000 credit line and she didn’t know she had $15,000 free money like that you can just charge
2 Answers1 week agoSomeone paid for gas with my debit card number?
Someone bought about $100 worth of gas when my card was with me at home. I'm scared now to use it to buy anything, whether in store or online. The bank fraud department said that the thief has used the magnetic stripe and not a chip with pin to steal gas. I never give my card to anyone. How could this have happened?

3 Answers2 weeks agoWhat are some money tips once you have a credit card?, and what are some things i should consider at 20 ?
I make $813 a month, and I'll say 200 of that is just my little bills(PSN,XboxLive,Music). Then my one solid phone bill. I want to make more money, but I also just applied for a credit card. I'm trying to set myself up to only use my credit card, but the limit right now is 500. I heard you shouldn't use your credit card for everything. My original plan was to just use the credit card for everything, and only use my bank card when i need it cash or to pay the credit card. That way i save, and build credit. Also is it okay to transfer all of my my bills to credit card or keep them on my bank card ? At the end of the day I'm just trying to start building some type of a financial base.
5 Answers2 weeks agoIs my bank pulling a fast one by not sending a replacement card?
I have a prepaid debit card that is about to expire this month yet the bank hasn't sent me a replacement card. When I checked Q&A, they said I can reorder a card but it'll cost $30 including shipping. So do you think they purposefully didn't send the card so they can charge me?
1 Answer2 weeks agoHave you ever gotten fake student loan debt calls from scammers?
Every so often I get these calls from random numbers, and they say they're debt collectors. The mention my name, my salliemae loans for college, my address, and they basically try to pressure me to make a payment right then and there by telling me of these cheaper offers they have. I just received one today and the person on the phone did the same tactic but when I mentioned that I just got a call from them and I stated that I couldn't make a payment because I was unemployed at the moment, she said "Ok well let me tell you of these other possibilities for you" and then hung up. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
It does sound like a scam by the way they talk, but it feels weird that they would have all that information ready. Has anyone experienced this before?
2 Answers2 weeks agoHow can I owe a balance when I've not even used C.C. yet?
Several weeks ago I applied for a credit card and was approved. The card came a few weeks later and I've probably had it activated maybe 2 weeks. This weekend I received a statement from the CC company saying I owed $75 even thought the beginning balance was showing at zero dollars and I've not even used the card. How is it I owe bill and the card has never been used?

2 weeks agoIs it legal for collection agency to remove a collection from report but sell collection to another agency?
To better clarify, a collection agency removed a collection from my credit reports after I disputed it. My credit scores increased and was doing well. 5 months later, I see a new collection on my credit report. It is in the same amount as the old collection so I know that the old collection agency must have sold my collection to this new agency. My credit score has gone down significantly because of this. So, is this legal?
