Ceragem - a South Korean acupuncture therapy?

A South Korean Company has introduced a new electronic

product for acupressure and acupuncture therapy . This has become very popular in a few cities in India. Membership

charges are negligent. Treatment time is unlimited. The company

has employed a few youngsters, mostly girls , and through these girls the company organises lecture secessions about the advantages of "Ceragem treatment". The company offers

the product for sale but at the same time it persuades members to join the Ceragem club.

If you calculate the expenses that the company may incur in this

process, it does not look like promoting a business .

Treatment goes on endlessly.

What is the idea behind this.

If any one knows about this Ceragem, please share your experience.

Ceregem has been in Singapore for a few years.

Treatment is FREE here. Besides the free treatment, they give health free health talks -- all skewed towards the wonders & effectiveness of Ceregem. Over here, you do not need to join a club. You just walk in, take you seat and wait for your turn to use the Ceregem. The talks are done while people wait.

Actually it is a ploy to sell the Ceregem which costs is almost S$4,000. It's a lot of money for a metal bed with a couple of rollers & "jade" insert.

I bought one on impulse & am regretting my folly.

    My objective assessment:

The heat pad at the end of the bed do relieve backache (So does a heat pad that cost S$20)

The rollers works like any stress rollers in relieving a stressed back or shoulder (Again, you can get a similar result with spending much less)

But again, a mid range priced massage chair costs around that price too.

After my recent back injury, my Orthopaedic surgeon advised me not to use the rollers as it tends to arch my back. The arching is detrimental to my recovery.

I'm trying to sell my Ceregem which was used for less than a month before my back injury. Talk about bad timing!!.
