Bulldog owners and others...?

I'm going to switch my bulldogs over to another food being that my Frenchie can not handle the ingredients in Innova he has an allergic reaction to what I've pretty much narrowed it down to Grains.

However I'm not sure which food would be best for them being that Bully's require a little different nutrients then other breeds and can not have an extreme amount of protein in their diet.

Any bulldog food education or experience would be much appreciated. What brand has given you success with your bully?

Thank you :)

Update:

The food guy at our pet supply store was suggesting Orijen last time I went in but had not heard any owners experience on it. Maybe I will try that.

And as for me asking the vet not owners with actual experience VETS DO NOT KNOW NUTRITION...they would try to sell me science diet or some crap like that only because they get a profit from it not because they know what's truly good nutrition for my dog.

Just like a normal doctor treats illness in humans not nutrition.

I have always fed mine purina pro plan puppy food, and there as healthy as can be. But since you are looking for something no grain my frenchie is on taste of the wild i believe it is fish and potato formula. no grain in that.

All my dog breeds are on different foods, my weims are on purina pro plan weight management they do excellent on, my bulldogs including my mom bulldog are on purina pro plan puppy they do excellent on that. My frenchie is on the taste of the wild cause she cant handle grains, but if she could we would have her on the purina.

I find purina does just as well in my dogs as the other foods that people recommend do.

Have you got your dog an allergy test? My french mastiff has allergies to like everything but I was still able to fid something by Iams that wasn't over the top expensive. I know you said you narrowed down the allergy but an allergy test can tell you every last ingredient that the dog should and should not have. It's a little expensive though.

You are right. Vets are not experts in Nutrition or Reproduction. I feed my bulldog Purina One. However, that has grain. I would take a look at Blue Buffalo food. My friend feeds it to her Boxer who has food allergies. She loves it.

Innova didn't work for us either, I don't have bullies though.

We have been using Orijen and the itchies have stopped, they eat a bit less then the grain foods and have great energy and spark.

    It's worth a try.

If you are that concerned, I would ask you vet who is an expert, not a message board.
