I am an Army ROTC Cadet. I have friends in every branch, and we ALL rag a lot on the other branches, but so does everyone else. If you can't take it, you're a whiny little girl. I'm looking at you, Lava Perro.

  • In ROTC thinking of enlisting...?

Got a question for all you Military gurus out there. My Dad just lost his job, and I'm seriously considering enlisting so that I can help support my family.

I do want to commission as an officer, so what are my options regarding enlisting, and then going the officer path? What would my game plan look like? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • Beretta 87 ---> Beretta 92FS ---> M9?

As the title (hopefully) suggested I am looking for a natural progression to the Beretta M9.

My ROTC unit will be sponsoring cadets in an event next year where marksmanship, and familiarity with the M9 is key. (Plus this is the handgun I will have to qualify with when I commission.)

Naturally the 92FS is the logical choice as far as a civilian counterpart to train with. However, as I will be a first time gun owner, I wanted to start with something smaller, and cheaper to fire.

Is the Beretta 87 (not necessarily the 87 Target) a good choice for someone intending to move on to the 92FS and then the M9?

Aside from the training bit, are both the 87 and the 92FS solid handguns that I will not regret purchasing? How are they price wise?

Not quite as important (as I'll have to use the M9 anyway) but I have smaller hands for a guy. How is the grip on the 92FS? A good size? Or, large by 9mm standards?

Any insight you gun guru's can shed would be incredibly helpful. If it looks like I'm on the wrong train of thought here, please feel free to step in and correct me.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Muscle building question.?

    I am currently using a blender/stir-in whey protein supplement, and a stir-in L-Glutamine supplement.

It's a bit of a pain to bust out the blender every time I want a protein shake... Is there anything I can get off the shelf (like Muscle Milk) that works? Anything that has everything in it that I need, that I can just pick up and drink?

ANY insight would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

  • Domino's or Pizza Hut?

I realize that this is similar to asking Which is better, Coke or Pepsi?" but I haven't had either in a very very long time, and have noticed that they are making a push through their commercials to indicate that their recipe's have changed.

In your opinion which is better? Best answer will go to whoever can list detailed pros and cons of both. Everyone else just gets a free two points for expressing their opinion. ;)

  • Criminal Justice curriculum?

I'm looking to transfer to a University, and major in Criminal Justice.

For those of you who have received a BA/BS, gone through this major:

What is the curriculum like? What should I expect from this program? What kind of work will I be doing for the most part?

    Any information is helpful!

  • Is the USMC's record really flawless?

My USMC buddies won't stop boasting about some "flawless record", and having to "always save the Army."

Military history buffs, or anyone who's been there: Any truth to this? Or are they just blowing more USMC PR smoke out their asses? Is there a record of Marines "doing poorly" as my buddies frequently accuse the Army of doing?

Please, only respond if you know what you're talking about.

  • ASU Class-A question?

    http://hhd.fullerton.edu/militaryscience/eventspag...

Check out that picture. Who is that guy in the blue ASU? Why is he so special that he's the only one in that photo album to have his trousers match the color of his jacket?

Honestly, the uniform wouldn't look so bad if that is what the standard color was.

  • Ford Mustang vs Dodge Charger.?

Looking to buy one of these cars. Not a racer, not looking for anything fancy. The V-6's would do.

I love the aesthetic designs for both cars, but I would like to know if one of them has any basic leg-ups over the other.

I am not a car expert, so feel free to explain the finer details to me.

  • Army dress blue trousers...?

Haven't seen these in person... But is it just me, or in pictures do the color of the trousers look way outlandish, and not at all in line with the jacket?

It's like... The jacket is Union blue, and the trousers are Perrywinkle blue, or something.

Anyone wear or see them personally?

  • Why does my cat hate my guitar?

He freaks out every time I touch it, or strums the strings. He bolts out the room like nobodies business, and will look at me fearfully for several minutes afterwards, as if I'm going to surprise-strum at him again.

I have never had, or seen a cat that does this before. Is this common, and I just haven't noticed it? Or is my cat a spaz?

    Thanks in advance.

  • LADIES: Men's fashion advice.?

I'm gonna be blunt. I could ask one of my friends, but then they would insist on taking me shopping. So, I figured this was the safest way to ask, and avoid having to shop with one of you... No offense.

I am looking at updating my wardrobe, and I wanted some basic advice. Like, what colors I should wear, etc.

I have fair skin (Irish), dirty blonde hair, and light blue eyes.

What color work best with what I just described?

What about a good pair of designer sunglasses? What rim/lens colors should I aim for?

    Thanks in advance.
