How much is a one week vacation from the USA to Amsterdam?

    Favourite answer:

Vacations don't have a single cost. There are huge variables, depending on when you go, how you travel, where you stay, what you do, and exactly where you're going from.

Do Dutch people not appreciate foreigners trying to speak their language>?

If you are trying to speak Dutch to natives in the Netherlands, and they refuse to speak Dutch back to you, what is the most likely reason? Is it due to your accent, your lack of proficiency, or just due to possessiveness?

    Is the Netherlands safe now?

    Favourite answer:

There are 503 reported cases in the Netherlands, with 5 deaths. If you are a young adult, you are at very little risk of having anything more than cold or mild flu-like symptoms. The disease is mostly deadly to those with underlying medical problems, especially heart and lung problems. Wash your hands and don't touch your eyes, nose or mouth until you've washed them thoroughly.

I've been sober from weed for months now. Does it count as breaking my streak if I smoke when I go to Amsterdam?

    Favourite answer:

Well yeah, it does mean you break your streak.

But the way I see it, is what's life if you can't indulge once in a while? Yeah using weed (or any substance) every day is over the top but once in a while, why not?

If you feel you can enjoy a few J's on holiday but then maintain your abstinence (or reasonable intake whatever that is for you) when you go back home, then that's reasonable in my book. But it's up to you to know your limits. If it lets you slip back into chronic use, then it might be a bad idea.

What is the best: Amsterdam or Berlin?

    Favourite answer:

Best for what? Berlin is an amazing city, especially if you're interested in history. Amsterdam is smaller and easier to get around. It's more laid back- less of a busy, bustling city than Berlin.

Why does Amsterdam have a lot of prostitutes ?

Because it has a red light district. Legal prostitution. Tons of tourists with money, and a lot of drugs.

    Booking Hotel in Amsterdam questions?

I’m 21 and would like to visit Amsterdam next year in May hopefully. I know in the US in some places you need to be like 25 and have a credit card to book hotels so I was wondering if that is the same in Amsterdam? If not, will I still need a credit card or could I just use my debit card to pay for the stay? Will I need to show my license or passport when I arrive? Is the cost per night high that time of year? Thanks

Why are there many people cycling in the Netherlands?

    Favourite answer:

because it's cheap, silent, odorless, fast, uses routes not offered by public transport... and doesn't require nearly as much parking-space a a car would.

You are aware that the Netherlands has a population density of over 400 per km² aka over 1000 per square mile, right?
