  • Hot water inlet for washing machine not functioning?

I have checked that hoses and even replaced them. I also ran the hot water through the cold inlet and it worked. So if I’m getting cold water and the hot water has pressure coming from the faucet, why can’t I get hot water through the hot water inlet?

  • Can you change directv remote to another device and how?

I have the rc73 genie remote or whatever. It goes to a receiver that I don t have connected to a tv at all. (My roommates and I move tvs from room to room). I want to set it up for my receiver because my remote is broken. The remote that works goes to a dvr system but my box is the small box that has one button. Can I set it up for my box while we wait for directv to ship another one out?

  • Clipless vs toe straps?

I have ridden with straps and want to make the transition to clipless. But I have some concerns about my style that have cons for both sides and would like some feedback. Keep in mind that I am used to toe clips and straps and have never rode clipless ever!

I like to ride weather it's to commute exercise or just enjoy a good day. I can put in a good 40 miles in a single ride so the straps do help to bring the extra power. My problem comes in when they either start to wear and loosen during the ride I have to adjust them or even the day to day, different shoes means different adjustments as well. It's annoying but is it the lesser of two evils?

I have never ridden clipless, and even though I'm not worrying about the transition period of countless falls, I do ride in traffic. Is that dangerous because keeping off the streets for the learning period isn't an option in Chicago. Also, will is it a burden to have to lug around a regular pair of walking shoes on just regular days. Also, I ride a track bike, and I love the thought of being better connected to my pedals but still have those concerns of safety and convenience.

  • Shameless UK and US?

I have watched all seasons of the US version of the show and started watching the UK version. Making it through season 1, seems to have the same storyline (give or take a few changes), and I was wondering that if anyone who has seen both versions of the series could shed some light on whether it continues in this fashion or if they start to separate into alternative shows. I like the crew I've grown to love and I wouldn't want to ruin it by watching it first through the UK version. Don't get me wrong, the UK version seems ok, but I am an American (from Chicago at that) and can relate to the US version more and would rather finish the series that way.

  • New stick shift owner?

Is it bad to do things like rolling stop in second gear. I mean, if I'm standing still, I will pop it back into first but if I'm coming to a stop sign that I don't intend to do a full stop at (don't be a snitch) or if the traffic starts moving before I come to a complete stop, and I mean 0 mph, I'll leave it in second. I have had to teach myself everything i know up to this point about manual trans driving and now I just need to know am I destroying my clutch but I also don't wanna be rev matching into first either. What's a good range of mph before I slip it back into first. Thanks in advance.

  • I'm 6'5 in need of a fixie bike?

I live in the Chicago area and all the bike shops I go to sell fixed gears made for 6 foot and under riders. I need one that fits my frame and have not found any luck. I don't know how much I'm willing to spend yet so just throw out ideas. I want to see the bike first so hopefully I can find a shop and not order it online.

  • Hifonics BRZ to BRX good?

So I fired my BRZ1700 and luckily I had a warranty on in. But maxxsonic is saying that they discontinued the BRZ1700 and I have to accept the new line BRX1600. Now I'm thinking new line sounds good but 1700 to 1600 watts.... I guess it's not THAT bad. But I'm looking all over the Internet and there are no videos reviews or any personal encounters with the brx line other than sellers putting up the numbers. Does anyone know anything about these amps and am I getting away with a good deal switching from the brz1700 to the brx1600?

  • Brutus 1700 fried.... someone help?

So I've been running my brutus a little less than a year and it's been working fine no problems. It had never even been in brotect. I'm running the 1700 watt so it doesn't have fuses, and I'm running it 4 ohms. Sounds like I shouldn't have a problem, but one day it's in protect and wont come out, couple days later I get the green light on the remote knob but the amp in the back is literally smoking. I've taken it out and I'm waiting for my warrenty to kick in, but what could have went wrong so I don't just do this all over again.

  • Why is shameless next week?

So I'm watching the showtime show shameless and at the end it shows scenes from the next episode. At the end, it says in two weeks, why not next week. I mean I can assume because of the Super Bowl but I figure not to just assume since its a totally different network. So can anyone verify?

  • Why isn't the knick-spurs on TNT?

So I rush home to catch the games, and they aren't showing the Knicks spurs on national tv. Not only does that seem like a big game, it's TNT Thursday night and they aren't showing any games. What is going on? And if someone is offer to host the game for me that would be great too.

  • Subs volume getting lower?

I'm noticing over time That my subs are getting lower and lower. At first I thought I was just getting used to them but its getting to the point where is noticable to anyone who gets in my car. None of the settings were changed. Same radio and wiring, the only thing that's changed really is the temperature with me being in the chicago area its getting pretty cold. Could I have knocked something loose or maybe the speaker wires are going bad?

  • Gain Matching my amp?

Can anyone tell me what is the subwoofer output of a DEH-7300bt pioneer. I read the manual and it says max pre-out is 2.0v. Is that the sw output and does that mean I set my gain at 2.0?

  • Why am I not getting the bang!!?

So I'm a fan of the Hifonics series and have been for a while. I came off of a HF 1500 series in my old grand prix and it Slammed! I must have played songs like late night tip a thousand times. Any way, car turned to crap so I took the subs (2 12's pioneer champion series pros) in the same enclosure and everything and switched to the the brutus line and up'd it to 1700 watts. Now I have an SUV and you would think that it would slam harder.... not the case. So I switched out the subs for some Kicker l7's and went ported this time, but it still didn't measure up. Can anyone throw out some suggestions of what needs to be done, becuz I know for a fact that this amp can do more than it's doing.

Couple of installment facts: Radio sub frequency tuned to 100 hz and I tried to match it on the amp as close at possible. Zero awg running through the car to a battery cap but no big three upgrade (but I don't have a dimming problem even when I took the cap off so I don't think it's an energy problem) stock everything else, battery, door speakers, and alternator.

  • Ideal subs for my brz1700?

I have the new (I guess old now) line of brutus at 1700 watts. Had the pioneer 3002d4 (2) wired up at one ohm. Now I know these subs rate 1000 watts rms but I figured since they were 3500 watts max a piece they would be fine. Boy was I wrong. I even blew the second second running 1200 watts at 2 ohms alone. So now I would like suggestions with what's next? I need to find my ideal subs that'll run well with this amp. I want to stay at 1 ohm 1700 but I refuse to do less than 2 ohms 1200 for it'll just be a waist of an amp. Also my trunk space is limited so I would only run 1 15 ported or 2 12's sealed (also which of these do you think is best) Money is no object, but just know I'm not looking to enter a competition. Thanks for the help, and keep setting off the alarms! #disturbingthepeacemyass

  • Can anyone tell me anything about Hifonics BRE lineup?

Just doing my daily web check up on all the amps and car audio that exists in the world, and I come across the Hifonics Brutus Elite amplifiers. These amps are VERY similar in ratings to your regular brutus BRZ collection. So I try to find out a little more and they are ghost to the internet. No youtube vids, no ebay sellers.... nothing. So whats the deal with these amps. What makes them different from the BRZ's and why are they so hard to find out about?

  • Brutus for my Pioneers?

I have 2 pioneer subs w3002d4. I just came off the Hifonics Hfi line HF1500. (Hit hard but it didn't sound too good on quality) and I'm thinking about switching to brutus. The brz1200 seems to fit the subs nice but would I be pushing it if I went with the brz1700? Just asking for opinions.

So my license was suspended and I knew when I bought the car (this isn't yahoo judgement, it's yahoo answers) but apparently the company I bought it from didn't find out until about a week later. I did finance the car and got insurance and everything on the suspended l's. But now they're calling me everyday saying they want the car back because my license is suspended. Can they do that?
